Site Council Overview

  • Purpose: 

    Consistent with its adopted theory of action, Managed Performance Empowerment, the Board believes that the success of the school, and the students it serves, is the shared responsibility of the school staff, parents or legal guardians and community members. In general, the School Site Council is advisory to the school administrative staff; solicits input from parents, community and staff members; reviews educational literature and data; and makes recommendations for school improvement. 

    Membership:

    • Principal (who will serve as Chairperson)
    • Two parents/guardians of students enrolled in the school and who are not employed by the district
    • One noncertificated employee from within the school
    • Two teachers from within the school
    • One Community member
