Greenfield Junior High School, an A+ School of Excellence and the largest junior high school in the 91茄子, recently partnered with the Arizona Cardinals to host an interactive football camp for over 100 students. The event featured a variety of interactive football stations, including areas that taught skills such as throwing, catching, kicking field goals and more.

While the camp specifically welcomed students in special education and those who serve as role models on campus, it fostered an environment of inclusivity and teamwork. Students were taught these values through the many dynamic and interactive skills displayed in the game of football.

“This camp is especially beneficial for our students because it emphasizes the importance of inclusivity, teamwork and sportsmanship. Everyone can participate in this camp and have fun,” said Britny Garcia, Special Education Teacher and Department Chair at Greenfield Junior High School. “I’m a huge Cardinals fan, so I couldn’t believe it when they reached out to us for this camp. I’m so thankful that they came to our campus and put on an event that our students will never forget.”

“Given our strong relationship with the school and how great the campus is, we felt that Greenfield Junior High would be the perfect fit for our special education camp,” added Trey Griffey, Youth Football Manager with the Arizona Cardinals. “We want to show our community that we care about them just as much as they care about us.”

The football camp further emphasizes Greenfield Junior High School’s and the Arizona Cardinal’s commitment to athletic development and community engagement. The Arizona Cardinals Youth Football camps are designed to provide educational and recreational benefits in a safe and enjoyable environment. Each camp includes a motivational speech by current or former Cardinals players and cheerleaders, followed by interactive stations tailored to teach valuable football skills.
