Jonathan Schley, Principal
Welcome to South Valley Junior High!
Mr. Jonathan Schley is excited and honored to be the Principal at South Valley Junior High. Originally from the state of Minnesota, Mr. Schley attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Technology Education. After several years of teaching in the classroom, he pursued and received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and has been an educator in 91茄子 Public Schools for the past 17 years. His first 3 years were right here at South Valley, then a teacher at Campo Verde High, Dean of Students at Highland Junior High and Desert Ridge High. 4 years ago he returned to South Valley as the Assistant Principal / Athletic Director.
Mr. Schley brings extensive experience working with students, teachers, other administrators, parents, and community members, along with an understanding of the importance of effective communication and leadership within a school community. Working with all educational stakeholders, he plans to utilize numerous strategies with one focus in mind; what is best for the students at South Valley. Student success does not occur by accident and can be achieved through dedication to detail, effective communication, and focus on the needs of the school, faculty, students, and community.
