Ames Singley, Principal

Welcome to Pioneer Elementary School: Home of the Prospectors!

It is an honor and a privilege to introduce myself, Ames Singley, as the principal of Pioneer Elementary School. I am very excited to join this outstanding school community.

I am originally from Connecticut and I graduated from Syracuse University in New York. In all, I have twenty-four years of elementary teaching experience and eight years of experience as a campus administrator, including seven as an elementary principal.

As Pioneer Elementary’s principal, I am committed to ensuring that students and families will feel welcome and valued. Our talented and dedicated staff will demonstrate high expectations for all students and focus on supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners using both best practices and innovative teaching strategies.

I believe that all students can and will succeed if they are provided with a safe and nurturing learning environment. Our instructional approach will be student-centered, beginning with a solid understanding of each student’s present levels combined with differentiated instruction to support their growth in all areas. I am a firm believer in creating a school culture where positive social interactions and a growth mindset approach are consistently reinforced. Our staff will make it a priority to establish open channels of communication and build positive relationships with all students’ parents so that we can effectively work together and support our common interest, our child.

Pioneer Elementary will make it a high priority to provide school-to-home communication in a timely and professional manner. We will strive to keep all students and parents informed of our policies and expectations so that we can have positive relationships founded on trust and respect. Lastly, we will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to build a school culture and climate that emphasizes mindfulness, empathy, and inclusion.

Sincerely,
Mr. Ames Singley
